Some projects start out as specs and then transform into personal builds mid-construction. Such was the case for this West Coast inspired home.
"These homeowners came from out of town, they came in right when we were pouring the slab, so they got to work with the designer to really make the house feel very personal," said Kelly Ongena, Director of Sales.

Starting out as a spec has its perks.
"It gives our homeowners the opportunity to really make the home their own, but skip through the preconstruction portion, saving them time," said Ongena.

The designer stepped in at just the right moment.
"We reimagined the interior architecture to align with the client's Southern California roots, introducing soft arches, warm materials, and layered textures to create a more refined, airy aesthetic," said Terra McNutt, the designer.

Even a four-legged family member was remembered during the design process.
"I remember it as a thoughtful fusion of Texas scale and California ease, where every detail, from bespoke finishes to personal touches for the family (and even their dog), was intentionally designed to create a timeless, livable home," said McNutt.

Every detail was intentionally considered.
"My favorite part is the architectural transformation, how the addition of arches, wood beams, and custom detailing softened the scale of the home and brought a sense of warmth and intimacy to such expansive spaces," said McNutt.
