Born in 1961, Hawkins-Welwood Homes started out as Skinner Welwood Homes. It then transitioned into Gagewood Homes where current President, John Hawkins, starting his homebuilding journey. In 1989, the Dallas native and University of Texas graduate, John, was brought in to lead sales and marketing. Since that time, John has continued to build the company's brand and portfolio. For over 65 years, Hawkins-Welwood Homes has centered around quality, integrity and service as they have built over 1,000 homes in the DFW metroplex. Home styles change, but their dedication to quality and service has remained the same. As John frequently preaches, “We are in the service industry and incidentally, we build homes.”
