Glue sticks and grit laid the foundation of this home in Preston Hollow.
“One of my very favorite things is that our sweet homeowner put together her very own vision board using poster board and magazine cutouts,” said Caylee Garrick, an in-house designer at Hawkins-Welwood Homes.
A Nancy Meyers film inspired the design process.
“The vision for this home–think Father of the Bride,” said Garrick. “Charming, cozy, inviting, elegant and well put together but with a touch of familiarity and personalization.”

Garrick collaborated with the family of four over the course of two years, gathering insight on how to execute the personality of the family through their selections.
“The overall inspiration draws from transitional design, marrying traditional detailing with fresh, contemporary influences,” said Garrick.

At the end of the project, all of the artistry came to life.
“This home captures a refined and timeless interior design aesthetic, blending classic architectural elements with modern elegance,” said Garrick. “The spaces are united by a light, airy palette dominated by whites, soft blues, and natural wood tones, which create a sense of calm and sophistication.”
