Our Company History

Curt Welwood and John Hawkins first joined forces to create their firm in 1997, but the company actually dates back to 1961 when Curt's father, Steve Welwood, began the business. Curt grew up in the industry, learning construction from the ground up, and joined his father full time after graduating from college in 1976. Curt has earned the Registered Professional Builder designation and has served as president and director of numerous industry associations.

John Hawkins began his career 25 years ago in commercial real estate. There, he sharpened his skills in all facets of the business, including site selection, land development, sales and marketing. Additional experience in home design contributed to John's wealth of industry knowledge, allowing him to bring an added dimension to the firm.

Together, Hawkins and Welwood have formed a partnership with complementary strengths drawing from all sides of the business. Theirs is a lasting commitment to the communities that they serve - and to the generations of homeowners who have come to expect the very best in luxury residential construction throughout the area.
